What does the design process involve?
Everything starts with an initial consultation with our interior designer, Emma. She’ll get to know your vision and walk you through our design packages, outlining the budget, timeline, and key stages of the process.
Depending on the recommended package, Emma may visit your home, accompany you during store visits or invite you to our showroom to sample different materials and finishes for your home.
How involved will I be in the process?
That’s entirely up to you. Some clients prefer to be hands-on throughout, others want a fully managed service. Our approach is adaptable to whatever works best for you.
How soon do I need to engage with an interior designer?
Depends on your project goals. For a full home project in the case of a new build or a renovation, the ideal time to engage with us is once your proposed plans are ready.
However, we can add value and expertise at any stage of your project; that’s why we have different packages which can be tailored to suit any stage of your home styling journey.
How do you charge, and what is your fee structure?
During your consultation, Emma will clearly outline the price structure for the appropriate design package for your needs. We are committed to full transparency and will inform you of any potential additional fees in advance.
Will the design reflect my personal taste?
Absolutely. We work closely with you to understand your style and preferences. Mood boards, sample materials, and visual references help ensure the final design feels like you. Not just something we designed.
How do you balance functionality and aesthetics?
We start by understanding how you live day to day. That means asking the right questions about your routines, how you use each space, and what your priorities are. Do you need areas for entertaining? Are you looking for clever storage? Is natural light important to you? Or do you need a quiet space to work from home?
From there, we make practical decisions first. Layouts, lighting, furniture placement, and materials are all chosen to support how you and your family use the space. Then we focus on the look and feel. We take your style preferences and bring them to life through colour, texture, and thoughtful details.
The goal is to create a home that not only looks beautiful but works beautifully too. One that feels considered, lived in, and completely personal to you.
Can you work with furniture I already own?
Yes, and we encourage it. Whether it’s a family heirloom or a piece you love, we’ll integrate it seamlessly into the overall design.
Why hire an interior designer?
It’s about more than just making a space look good. A designer brings clarity, experience, and structure to your project, saving you time, avoiding costly mistakes, and reducing stress from start to finish.
