JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for someone detail-driven, commercially aware, and ready to take ownership of a long-term opportunity within an ambitious, growing business.
At Doran Kitchens & Home, we’ve been designing and manufacturing bespoke kitchens and furniture for over 40 years. Based just outside Newry, we bring our clients’ spaces to life through innovative design, precision joinery and exceptional service.
As Drafting Manager, you will play a key leadership role bridging design, manufacturing, and installation within a modern bespoke cabinetry environment. You’ll establish and manage a clear pipeline of production-ready CAD drawings, enabling our skilled joiners to craft high-quality custom cabinetry and joinery solutions.
Job Role
- Produce accurate, production-ready CAD drawings from concept designs.
- Coordinate with workshop and CNC operations.
- Maintain technical standards, cost control, and workflow efficiency.
Essential
- Strong CAD experience (cabinetry/interiors).
- Experience in producing manufacturing drawings.
- Solid understanding of joinery construction.
Desirable
- Bench joinery background.
- Manage procurement of materials and hardware.
- CNC programming/operation experience.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Ad Hoc Duties
- General administration and organisation within your designated area.
- Collaborate with the Design and Manufacturing teams on new concepts and bespoke pieces.
- Occasional site visits.
