Sometimes, focusing on a few well-chosen design details can do more than fill a space; it can define it. The client and our designer agreed on the essentials: a curved island with an ogee-edged worktop and a statement cooking area with a detailed overmantle and an antique mirror splashback.

The curved edge on the island softens the layout and encourages a natural flow around the seating. Finished in a deep, muted forest green that grounds the design without overpowering it. Equipped with a Quooker hot tap, an integrated sink, a wine cooler, and concealed storage, the space delivers on daily practicality.

To tame the countertop clutter, we added a unit with bi-folding doors, a rather simple solution, while offering plenty of scope for customisation to suit any lifestyle and storage needs. Here, we created a coffee station on top with integrated storage for chopping boards and serving trays below, making preparation and serving easier during breakfast or wine-and-dine evenings.
